Didn't accept responsibility for impossible journey
I booked a return journey including Deutsche Bahn and Eurostar services. They generated an itinerary for me that, when I subsequently checked, was not viable due to insufficient time to check in for Eurostar. They refused to accept responsibility, saying that connection times are set by the train companies. This is nonsense; the error is theirs alone.

Amazing customer support
The customer support team is very knowledgeable, provides the best product based on your travel plan, quick with replies and will go to any extent to help.

The website is user friendly and very detailed. Help articles are very useful.

I would always recommend Rail Europe to my family and friends.

BEWARE not covid safe
BEWARE this company is a scam. Reposting my review everywhere because the company keeps trying to flag my review as false... DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Contracted covid while abroad and had to cancel my train ticket with Rail Europe. This was a $500 train ride in Switzerland and they REFUSED to refund me. I shared all of my covid results and a proof of contraction from a pharmacy. They still wouldn't give me my money back for a trip I could not take due to COVID!! Insanely terrible business practices. I really hope they go out of business.

How about a bit more clarity for your customers?
I bought train tickets for Italy through my AAA Travel Service providers as they offered a good price of the routes I was going to go on during my trip there.

Once I paid, AAA sent me a confirmation message which contained all the train ticket booking information such as Seat Assignments & Reference Numbers.

There was also a clear banner in this e-mail to state that this e-mail was not a valid travel document & there was a link directly below this that gave me my Book Ref. # and it took me Rail Europe's website Log In page. There were no other instructions. When I registered & logged in, it said I had no upcoming bookings.

I contacted Rail Europe, explaining what had happened. Their 1st. response was to direct me back to AAA. There was not even a semblance of trying to help & clarify that maybe their server hadn't uploaded my documents for viewing.

In my reply, I asked Rail Europe if they could perhaps send out less confusing emails that don't direct customers to their website while simultaneously, telling them to go back to the vendor.

Their 2nd response was to resend me an exact copy of their confusing e-mail, but more importantly, nobody in Rail Europe was courteous enough to address any of the concerns that I highlighted. It was simply a case of re-sending the same info.

In short, the company may offer competitive prices for train services but really falls short on answering difficult questions or addressing specific concerns.

I can only hope that there are no serious problems with the trains I've reserved for this trip because if this is their standard of response/Customer Help, this doesn't bode well.

Unacceptable customer service
Rail Europe made a mistake when I purchased a rail pass. Getting them to correct their mistake was hell. I spent hours on the phone dealing with agents who were not empowered to fix things. Finally, I was required to mail back my passes to have them reissued at my expense, and they "consumed" my protection plan for fixing their mistake. When I requested a refund for my UPS fees, they requested a receipt, which I provided. 48 days later, I have heard nothing from them. Their customer service is the pits. I would never deal with again. Go with Eurail instead.

Very bad company
Very bad company, I buy ticket from Lucern to Engelberg in Swiss in their website, but they dont give E-tickets, they only have paper tickets and it must be shiped to my address. Because my address is in Vietnam, I have only 3 days left to depart to Europe,so i can not be ship to me intime within 3 days. So I have re-booked in Trainline website, the e-tickets was sent to me immediately by their email. Haizzzz ! very bad serive everyone, even about refund, I sent many email they dont reply, so I must make a international phone call to their singapore hotline, it charged much of my money :( In addition, on their website they said my ticket can not be cancel online, OMG ! Plz be careful and think about your secure !
